It was about 7 years ago, sometime in early university, that I showed this game to Suds and it has since become a running joke because he must have shown me a half dozen times that you can grab and throw badguys (this is when I discovered Suds' bad short term memory). Anyways, the vid does a good job of showing the game. Check it out.

I'm sure you most of you have seen or heard of the announcement from Microsoft that is essentially killing Halo machinima. They have listed a set of rules to which they demand all machinima follow or violate copyright laws. A great idea to have finally on paper, but their demands go directly at the heart of all Halo machinima and will effectively make it impossible to create any decent Halo film without your own production studio, and last time I checked no one, NO ONE in the Halo community making machinima has those resources. The news seems to be going over in a mixed manor, which I find unbelievable, however there are some in the same boat as FTC who perhaps better realize that this means to Halo films. The Codex have written of their frustrations and done a very good job of detailing the problem. They've also had to cancel production on their latest project. This is the way all Halo machinima will go under the new rules. Its a very sad day in the Halo community, at least for us, and feels even worse because browsing community pages and forums it seems the majority of fans think these new rules are a good thing and that it'll spawn creativity. Just so you understand what the new system will be like, even if all you want to do is post a video of your best triple-kill you're going to have to wipe all the audio first. Bungie has always been huge in community involvement and I love them for that, I just hope they know that their parent company just bitch slapped some of their most hardcore fans. Thanks. |

Here is the latest promo we put together for MLG Canada. I know some guys going down for the Rainbow Six Vegas portion of the tournament, and hopefully Benny and I will be down there showing off some Halo Machinima to help promote the Halo 2 tourny. There will also be Gears of War competitions and the Northern Digital Expo coincides with the tournament so there will be a tonne of crap going on for you to get involved with. |

Anyone who doesnt have their Halo3box (ok, it'll play other games, sure) yet can expect lower prices all across the board: New Canadian prices on all XBOX 360 models. These price cuts do better than match the U.S. price cuts, they try and even out the exchange rate too.
360 Core from $349 -> $299 360 Premium from $499 -> $399 360 Elite from $549 -> $499
And the Special Halo 3 Edition 360 will be $449. |
