Well we've got a new game for you, it stars the Madda Cheeb in another Halo related game as usual. We see it as a nice cross of an old classic (Mario) and a new classic (Halo). Head over to the games page to check it out, or just CLICK HERE to play. Fight your way to the top of that leaderboard. Make sure you're using the latest Flash plugins, check here if you're not sure. From what I've been able to test, the only browsers that play this game slowly are most Mac browsers (sorry guys, its not me, its Macromedia) but FireFox for Mac apparantly works well (you should be using FireFox for windows too!! If you get the chance, drop us your thoughts here, or vote for it over at everyone's favourite semi-dirty flash portal, Newgrounds. Please enjoy addictively. Update: its doing pretty well over at NewGrounds, but dont forget to vote, and someone also submitted it to Digg.com, so head over there and Digg It, see if we cant get it a front page mention :)

For any regulars here you'll know the name Nelson Triana, the pro gamer, better known in the Halo community as .G-Sp(O)t. Well, the Ottawa boy is in Singapore to lay the smack down and get some revenge for last years second place finish in San Francisco. There is an online article over at Canada.com and here and here too, plus there was also an article on Wednesday in the local Ottawa Citizen. If you've never heard of either of them before (the legend or the paper) you can check out other articles they've done on him and other gaming related topics here and here. Both are quite good reads. |

A couple of pieces of FTC related music for you today. The first is from Curt Is Not, forum moderator and local music guru. He's releasing the FTC 16 theme to the public, so download the mp3, I think you'll quite enjoy it. The second piece of music comes from TrueGiantBDC, forum regular and Eff Tee See staff member. He's remixed Jon's Fight theme from FTC 14, its a really nice cut at a nice high bit rate and it follows the in game use of it pretty well. Download the BDC mix here. |

Benny here this time. Some of you may have read in the forums that I've been busily learning new skills in Maya in attempts to make FTC a fully 3D show! Yes, I know machinima is already 3d, but as fun as it is to work with the constraints of the Halo engine, I just feel like i'm up for something new and more challenging than bobbing a controller all day ( "S" type or otherwise ). I've found along the way that online text tutorials just don't cut it for me so I've been buying video tutorials by the dozen...well just one for now, but i'm finished with it and...
now it can be yours for just 1/3 the price tag!!!
Currently I am offering this digitaltutors.com tutorial bundle, Backwater Bunch Maya in Production, to any resident of Canada for a mere 120$ CAN ( shipping included, list price $255 US). With this tutorial you will learn the crucial basics of Maya including modeling, texturing, rigging and more. It's helped me a tonne, check out the new and improved Madda Cheeb by clicking the thumbnail ( he will be used in a new Madda Cheeb game Andrew and I are working on together).
All those interested please email myself
