This Game is now officially Version 1.0, it is no longer a Beta. You can play it from the games page or you can find it at NewGrounds. If you've got the time, vote it up at NewGrounds please. If you are looking for a bit of help, check out this fan made guide, its got A LOT, but not everything Wink

- proper wait times added in stage 1 for "after death" and "after reset"

Note to testers: please be VERY precise when you post, any confusion because of vague posts will simply make this process harder. Please post the browser you were using, what the problem was, when it happend, was it recurring, did you see something funny, did the framerate drop, did the game freeze??? etc etc etc. Thanks for all your help, and remember, this game was not built to be easy! Also, please clear your cache every once and a while and make sure you a reloading the game to make sure you're playing the latest copy

currently it takes me 15-20min to finish the game, with no deaths, add 5min per death

Sorry I didn't get very far because I need to do Homework but I did get a few bugs down

Bugs:

When moving to the next part when the Hand appears on the screen and says Move Move Move. It's very slow ,like maybe 20-30 seconds for the next part to Start(That's when I wrote stuff down). I am using the Mozilla FireFox Browser.

When you finnally die and the button says More or Play again(Can't Remember) the enemies appear too quickly I believe, because as soon as I pressed More/Play again button the enemies appeared real quickly and took down half my health before I started moving.

It may have just been me but the Madda Cheeb Walking was a little Jerky.

I got up to level 41(I think) when you see that Big Dude with the Gun when I finnally Died. I'll see if I can futhur when I feel like playing.

Edit: ahhhhhh I just cannot take that fat bastard

I've only played up until that big boss guy. I was gonna say thet the madda cheeb moves too slow, and I was going to suggest increasing the speed, but I'll try it with your suggestion.

I think that the enemies spawn too close to the middle, I think it would be better if they sterted off screen and then walked in because I find that near the end of a phase of enemies I've moved to one end of the screen or the other and then an enemy will spawn on top pf me!

Also, a legend of what each pickup does would be nice, and what the initial stands for. Maybe a story or introduction of some sort, because I would really like to know what the hell the madda cheeb is doing in a city with everyone trying to kill him!

The timer needs to stop for the moving screen too.

I'll post more when I get further

EDIT: Just beat the boss, not as hard as I thought. But on the stats sreen at the end, the "Total Time" stat keeps going up, and not evenly, it was jumping 2 seconds for every one real second. It may be a part of the FPS bug

EDIT 2: I died on level 2 with 9 ponts and it brought me back to the vey beginning of the game. Some of the images of vehicles remainded on the screen in the city. I found it hard to judge where the enemy vehicles were, and damaged myself because I thought I was in the clear

EDIT 3: When I respawned at the beginning of the game, my score was at somethine like -8000, don't know if that's intentional or not. It would be nice if the pickups would fade a bit before disappearing because I often go for them, then they dissappear and then I get hit. I also randomly froze (not from a pickup or anything) when about 3 guys were basically touching me, I have no idea what happened

Edit 4: I figured out what made me freeze, it was when 2 guys hit me at the same time, and I unfroze the instant before a third guy hit me

EDIT 5: I touched one of the "F" things and it didn't freeze me, then I tried it a few more times and it didn't, but then one did, I think this may be because I've kept it open the whole time; I'm not reseting or refreshing, this seems to make it glitch more.

It would also be nice to have a bit more responsive controls, I keep wanting to turn around and fire right away and then keep running, but it never fires in time.

EDIT 6: I can't figure out what to do to beat level 2! I got 13 points ion total and then the time ran out and I lost! Do you need 15 or something? Also, the info bozes seem a bit messy and untidy, they just look aout of place.

I hope this isn't too much for you, and I hope I'm actually helping...

EDIT 7: I figured out that I can hold more than one mini hog at a time, but I still haven't beaten level 2. I also think that a pause button would be helpful in this game, especially since it's so long, just make "P" pause the game or something and it will be good, I've really wanted one since I keep posting stuff I've discovered.

no intros and stuff were included for the beta cuz it's for testing gameplay only right?

the boss is unbeleivably hard. make his fires less constant. u need time to get through with out getting hit once, make it difficult, but not impossilble.

Game 2 Meh, its alright. REally all you have to do is stack up all the hogs then go to the other side and drop them off in the last couple of seconds. and it glithes every so often, is it supposed to do that?? theres times when i cant move the hog. oh well.

Game 3well, havent gotten to it yet, game one keeps pissing me off, and im just screwing around on game 2. but serioulsy, fix game one.

Ok, I got really pissed off at this game, took a break, and now I'm back. The second level is freaking impossible! There's no way in hell I'll EVER get 70 points in that game, the most I ever got is 46 and that was very barely! I think you either need to reduce the needed score, or have time bonuses come down the highway.

What I've found is that if the enemies always spawn "off screen" and then walk on screen its just way too easy but also way too boring, you just stand in the middle and fire. As each level increases the will gradually spawn closer to you, making it harder, but the will NEVER spawn on top of you (although sometimes so close it might feel that way). Its a toss up of sorts, trying to find whats more fun.

This is all in the works, backstory, intros, cutscenes, legend. For now, B=short lived speedboost, T=timer increase, F=short lived freeze, |+|=healthpack

I've thought about it, buts its a running game, however it might seem more logistical. There are some issues with actually changing the code for this, it would be a larger change than it seems (just because of the way the fucntions work) so you might not see this one change.

Thetotal time is meantto keep running, its the time that you've spent in front of your computer since you loaded the game, it has no value to you, except to let you know how long you've been playing, I guess I'll have to find a way to explain that.

If you loose all your lives then you'll restart at stage 1, and currently there is a bug with that. Remaining images will also have to be dealth with.

If you die, you loose 10000 points, so it sounds likeyou were at 2000 when you died. Fading pickups, I'll look into it, sometimes things like that just might not get added because if there are 2 or 3 fading icons, plus badguys plus cheeb plus bullets then it starts to become hard on the CPU, which means we'll get different gameplay out of different powered computers, some features are left simple to conserve cycles

Sounds like you ran into a guy (who then dies) and he dropped an F powerup, which you hit and then were frozen.

When you "touch" it,do you mean it appears you touch it (pictures overlap) orsoyoumean you touched it and the powerup dissapeared (as in you actually "grabbed" it). Sometimes the hit detection onthe powerups is a little off, Im looking into it, so sometimes you might be near it but not near it enough. As for the glitching, yes, the longer you keep it open themore its gonna glitch right now, this is because of the game over button,a known bug that needs to be addressed, until then please refresh when dying. Sorry.

The gun will only fire once every 0.75seconds, if it fires more than the game is too easy, just hold the button and spray-game over, the fire dealy is always constant though, so you should know when your gun will and wont work, and strategize around it

The more mini hogs you bank, the greater their worth when you return them to your base, if you return 1 banked hog its worth 1 point, if you return 10, its worth something like 30 points, so do you bank as many as you can, or chip away at it. The pause button is a great idea, I'll have to see if I can get one to work.

Its hard to make it faster without it then being faster than you can react,you've got to plan out where you want to be when you kill people and stuff,but I'lltry different settings.

I know it seems impossible, but it actually is exactly as you said, difficult but NOT impossible, it just might seem that way till you figure it out, he'slike all old school bosses, they always have a weakness

Interesting, I sorta like the stage the best, but thats just me, this is a main reason for beta, to see what the public reaction is. That stage just reminds me of old old handheld "driving" games. But could yoube more specific about "glitching". The hog will not move superfast across the screen, again, thatwould make it too easy of you could move back and forth ever millisecond, so there is a delay of 0.25 seconds every time you move until you can move again
